Training of our ponies
Do you know the feeling to be the first
rider of your own-bred pony?
Then you can imagine, that we undertake
the training of our ponies ourselves. Long time ago I was
member of the Bavarian championship team of pony training where
I learned the traditional British way of equestrian sport.
After school I continued studies
also in other ways of horse training for my own interest.
Our ponies are growing up with daily
contact to our family, so they develop into affectionate ponies
with a lovely character.
At the age of 3 years (depending on
their development stage) we start riding them in a program
tailored to their progress. Often they are ridden outside in
the countryside to improve their balance and handling of the
rider on their back.
Our pony breeder-association is requiring
for a certificate for the brood-mares to have passed
successfully a riding performance test. The training for this
exam I also conduct personally on the farm. Therefore all of
our brood-mares are well trained and ridden, and have passed a
jump-test (as part of the performance exam) with a certificate,
which is added to their pedigree information.
